The Certificate IV in Cybersecurity is a new course. It has been developed in partnership with industry experts in the IT, Telecommunications, Banking and Security industries. There is a shortage of qualified cyber security practitioners and paraprofessionals. This course is the entry point into a career in Cyber Security. 

You will develop the highly valued skills and knowledge needed for a career as a Cybersecurity Practitioner, Pen Tester, Systems Analyst or Systems Intrusion Detector. People in these roles detect network breaches in a network, undertake penetration testing on networks and websites, and identify and escalate cyber incidents to the security response team.

Facilities and staff

Box Hill Institute has a new Teaching Cyber Security Operations Centre TCSOC for immersing students in realistic training of cyber incidents and response. It includes control, attack and defense rooms.

This course is part of the Free TAFE for Priority Courses initiative in 2019.
