Combine studies in accounting, economics, finance, management or marketing with a legal qualification.

Your first-year commerce studies will introduce you to business foundation subjects including economics, business analytics, and accounting and finance for business.

Your law studies will cover the fundamental principles of Australian law, civil litigation, property, contract and constitutional law. Elective subjects allow you to study areas such as human rights law, public international law and international crime.

You'll learn from different business disciplines and gain skills in researching, analysing and problem-solving to help answer social, environmental and business problems.

You’ll also have the opportunity to talk with business and community leaders, and to apply your newfound knowledge and skills in a professional working environment.
Professional accreditation

All La Trobe University Bachelor of Laws and Juris Doctor law courses include the subjects required by the Victorian Legal Admissions Board to qualify for admission to the legal profession in Victoria as an Australian lawyer; please contact the relevant professional body for further details.
