La Trobe’s Bachelor of Cybersecurity has been co-designed with industry experts to address the global shortage of cybersecurity professionals. You’ll gain a broad range of skills across IT, business, law, policy and strategic communication.

You’ll learn about the history of hacking and explore the various methods used to defend and protect against malicious cyber threats. The course also covers the sophisticated techniques cyber criminals use to manipulate individuals to access confidential information online.

As part of your studies, you’ll engage in a range of simulated attacks. You’ll also design and develop a project for a real client, preparing you to step into your first career.

To build career adaptability, you’ll have the opportunity to combine cybersecurity with psychology, management, linguistics and international studies. You can further enhance your cybersecurity expertise by majoring in information technology security.
