Future work environments will require people with traditional skills who can work effectively as innovations impact how and where we work. In this course students will develop skills such as working with others in virtual teams and operating in a digital office, and use RMIT’s simulated office environment.

After students are introduced to administrative systems and practices, accounting and the concepts of personal and workplace development, they will work collaboratively to plan and host a socially responsible-themed conference event. In addition, students can really put their skills to work by undertaking a work placement or industry project.

Students will work with an industry mentor company in the RMIT Practice Firm, a simulated office environment.

Graduate career opportunities

Graduates with appropriate experience may apply for roles including administration assistant or officer, receptionist, personal assistant, office administrator or manager, project assistant.
