Everything we see, from websites and advertisements to games, film and product logos, was crafted by someone who made decisions on colour, layout and style.The Bachelor of Digital Design focuses on both traditional and digital design principles. Students can hone their design skills and learn how to translate content into visual form for effective communication. Students can also and arm themselves with the skills to establish a career in the burgeoning design industry.Students will learn key design elements such as interface design, digital images, typography, design thinking, advertising and creative drawing, and have the flexibility to choose electives, to successful build a broad knowledge based in related areas within the digital world. The course is outcome-focused, with specific subjects relating to the construction of a portfolio to become a job-ready graduate in the world of digital design.

Bachelor of Information Technology (Game Programming)

The Bachelor of IT (Games Programming) is one of a kind in Australia and allows students to develop the IT skills needed for the games industry. This course will provide students with a foundation in core IT disciplines including database systems, networking, systems analysis and design, as well as professional practice. Throughout the course, students will apply widely recognised software development lifecycle practices, from design through to implementation and testing.Graduates of the AIT Bachelor of IT (Games Programming) will find employment opportunities in a range of IT, digital content and creative industry roles. Graduates with some work experience in application development or related fields may also establish their own businesses.

The Diploma of Interactive Media offers a solid grounding in a balanced set of digital media subjects designed to help kickstart a career in the digital industry. This Diploma of Interactive Media is a hands-on, one-year course that provides plenty of practical experience in a range of digital media subjects.Students will be able to originate and develop concepts in Pre-Production, manipulate vision and sound in Screen Editing and test games and interactive media in the Virtual Worlds subject.

Bachelor of Information Technology (Mobile Applications Development)

The Bachelor of IT (Mobile Applications Development) is a three-year degree where students will learn how to develop mobile applications and turn their ideas into reality. Students will create apps for iOS and Android platforms, and cross into other digital media areas to ensure that they have a strong foundation in design, front-end web development, virtual world creation and other relevant fields. Where other courses of this type focus on old-school topics like networking, our forward-thinking classes prepare students specifically for the future needs of the mobile industry. The curriculum will supplement theory with practical experience in programming, technical design, testing and systems analysis. The Bachelor of IT (Mobile Applications Development) is recognised by the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

Diploma of Information Technology

The Diploma of IT (GenTech Coding Bootcamp) at Coder Academy is a 43-week long (12 months, excluding breaks) immersive course with an emphasis on hands-on, practical training in coding and full-stack web development.Coder Academy's bootcamp style of teaching equips students with in-demand technical skills to provide an accelerated pathway to become employable web developers.GenTech offers specialised training in programming languages and frameworks including HTML, CSS, Ruby on Rails, and JavaScript (the MERN stack & React). With strong ties to over 100 technology companies throughout Australia, students have the opportunity to be mentored by, network with, and immerse themselves into the Australian developer and tech community both inside and outside of the classroom. The Diploma of IT (GenTech Bootcamp) includes a 1-month long work experience. The industry experience component gives students the real-world skills and knowledge they need to be employed as a Junior Developer.

The Bachelor of Interactive Media - 2D Animation is a three-year degree with a hands-on focus, supplementing theory with practical experience. Students who take this path will have interests such as drawing, character development, character animation, storytelling and directing. Students will build a broad knowledge base while learning key animation techniques such as 2D animation, creative drawing, movement, concept art and digital illustration. Students will graduate with a strong base of fundamental animating and storytelling principles.
