Computer and network engineering and computer science are taught together in this flagship double degree. You'll learn the hardware, architecture and organisation of computer systems and communication networks, and the software used to control them. You'll develop knowledge, skills and capabilities to design, implement and maintain complex hardware and software systems, and excellent programming skills. In the years to come, the demand for graduates with both engineering and computer science expertise is expected to be very high. You’ll gain skills through hands-on experience in our well-equipped laboratories, and real world experience through engineering work experience. RMIT graduates work in industries including defence, health and science, business, communication and security. Throughout the course students develop skills in negotiating a consensus among participants with a range of interests in the design outcome. Diploma of Conservation and Land Management

The RMIT Diploma of Conservation and Land Management will introduce you to the skills used by land managers, park rangers, site assessors, water quality assessors and conservation staff.You'll learn how to survey animals and plants, monitor waterways, assess and restore natural sites and undertake cultural studies relating to land management, gaining the skills and knowledge needed to work in the field managing natural resources.Study takes place in a mix of classroom, laboratory and field settings. Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing

Conveyancers undertake work associated with the sale, purchase or transfer of ownership of real estate and related property transactions. Students will gain specialised technical knowledge and skills in property transactions, learn about the practice of our legal system and develop business skills as they prepare for professional practice as a conveyancer.As student’s progress in the program they will extend their knowledge, with an understanding of the duty of care of a conveyancer, mortgage transactions, land registry requirements and council procedures and resolving disputes with parties.Leading conveyancing specialists will guide students through regular, face to face, evening workshops, using real-world scenarios and authentic documentation in a rich and unique learning experience.

Students develop practical and professional skills in creative writing, informed by critical, historical and theoretical knowledge of writing industries, art forms and career opportunities. These skills include the capacity to experiment, produce, analyse and reflect upon work in a variety of writing styles, techniques and voices. Students learn about character, structure, theme, language and visual storytelling to enable successful writing in numerous forms and genres. Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology)/Bachelor of Biomedical Science

This double degree will give you an insight into human and animal biology as you explore ways to improve health and treat disease.Biomedical science at RMIT allows you to understand how the human body functions and the responses of the body to various diseases, exercise, diet, internal disturbances and environmental influences.You will complete studies in cell biology, physiology, microbiology and molecular biology including proteomics and can also choose to study anatomy, neuroscience, cardiovascular biology, industrial microbiology and applied biochemistry.You will learn how techniques in molecular biology and genetics are applied to problems including diagnosing genes that cause cancer, making crops and livestock less vulnerable to disease, and making food safer.You will graduate with majors in microbiology, cell and molecular biology and an optional major of biochemistry, and have the qualifications to work in biotechnology and biomedical research.
