    Modern biotechnology aims to understand and address today's urgent challenges and scientific issues: human, animal and plant health and their adaptation to the environment; food shortage; and sustainable solutions for waste treatment and renewable energy.This course focuses on multidisciplinary knowledge and theoretical insights into biological molecules, processes, organisms, and the systems and interactions between them. In your final year you'll be able to conduct a variety of field, research and laboratory investigations.You'll graduate with a solid theoretical background and hands-on skills in molecular cloning, gene technologies, disease treatment and prevention, drug production, food production, environmental sustainability and more.     This course provides professional preparation for a career in the highly competitive and constantly changing global advertising industry. The course has three distinct focuses: Art Direction, Copywriting and Strategy Planning/Account Management. There is a strong focus on critical and conceptual thinking and learning how to use these skills to solve communication problems, generate attention for brands and products, and build an emotional bond between a brand and consumers. The course provides an overview of the role and value of advertising within broader marketing and communication practice, as well as in-depth study of advertising media, strategic and creative disciplines.     Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs

    This course prepares students for entry level roles in the alcohol and other drugs sector, providing services and interventions to clients with drug and alcohol dependency. The role of an alcohol and other drugs (AOD) worker is diverse and offers many exciting and challenging career opportunities. Students learn how to provide a range of services and interventions for clients with AOD and other complex care issues. Students study the complex and interconnected nature of addiction and drug use, and the relationship it has with mental health.     Combining mechanical engineering and industrial design, you'll gain technical and creative skills to engage at a professional level with the design and development of advanced manufactured products.As an RMIT mechanical engineering and industrial design double degree student, you’ll learn a wide range of skills from the integration of these highly complementary disciplines.In the final year of your studies you'll undertake a major project that is either industry-based or simulates an industrial situation.     This course focuses on the social, cultural and technological aspects of architecture. Students investigate architecture through design, integrating the knowledge gained in history, communications and technology subjects into a total design project. Throughout the course students complete design studios, which allow them to select from a diverse range of design experiences, contexts, scales, research interests and agendas. The design studios form the core of the course structure and provide the point of integration for all subjects. Students are exposed to architectural practice through staff who are active practitioners and through international exchange opportunities and industry projects.
